Eduard (Edi) Alois Neumeister Murder

Edi Neumeister (aged 68) was confronted with an unrestrained and violent panga attack by an unidentified attacker wearing a balaclava. The attack occurred on his smallholding in Balgowan, KwaZulu Natal, where he ran Edi’s Bratwurst Sausage Restaurant and B&B with his life partner

Edi suffered blow after blow to his face while his partner managed to escape and raise the alarm.

Emergency services and role-players rushed to the scene hoping to find Edi and perform life saving interventions. Although Edi was quickly located, he was heartbreakingly pronounced deceased.

The suspect has not yet been identified or captured and the investigation is continuing.
