Emergency Response – Farm Attack

In late August we received an activation from a traumatised member that their neighbour, a 67 year old farmer, had been stabbed in the stomach in the Pietermaritzburg area.
He requested urgent assistance and we swiftly dispatched an ambulance from Netcare 911, who on arrival sadly determined that the victim was already deceased.

An unknown male had stabbed the victim in the stomach for unknown reasons, as nothing had been taken from the house. A murder investigation has been opened, and authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding this event. Specialised Victim Support (SVS) has been activated and our Violent Crimes and Technology unit (VCAT) are providing support in collaboration with Bishopstowe Police Station.
