Young woman Overdosed on Painkillers

I received a call from a member who lives in Piet Retief, Mpumalanga.  He reported that an 18-year-old female who lives in Roodepoort, Gauteng, had overdosed on painkillers. The person who had overdosed is a Family member.

Family members reported her condition as critical as she was unable to walk, and her body was numb. I immediately contacted NetCare 911 and explained to them the patient’s condition and the address and requested urgent assistance. NetCare 911 were on scene within a short period, the patient was stabilised and then transported to the nearest Hospital. She was admitted for observation and further treatment. The patient will receive further counseling to assist her with the problems she is experiencing.
