A stolen Toyota flagged…

Fort Beaufort, EC: 

A stolen Toyota was flagged on the SNIPR™ Automatic Number Plate Recognition System and the vehicle details circulated by Atlas Security.

The vehicle was later spotted by an alert off-duty policeman who followed it until backup arrived. Members were able to pull the vehicle over, however the driver made his escape and evaded arrest. The vehicle was booked into the SAPS pound at Fort Beaufort for further investigation and follow-up work. 

The Atlas Security and SAPS officers involved must be commended for their dedication to duty with another successful vehicle recovery.
