Fallen tree on a blind corner

Recently we received an activation from a AAA Response member who reported that a tree had fallen on the M13 Northbound in the Hillcrest, KZN area. The tree was blocking the left-hand lane on a blind corner. Our member was concerned that there could be an accident as the M13 is a busy route and the tree had fallen on a blind corner.

We contacted Metro SAPS to assist with traffic support and Municipal Services to arrange for the removal of the tree. We also published a local alert to advise motorists in the area to be aware of obstruction.

Metro SAPS arrived on scene and managed to remove the tree before any accidents occurred.
