Missing person in the Eshowe area

Dispatcher Files

With the current economic climate, high unemployment numbers and company retrenchments, great pressure is placed upon many families and individuals Reasons for people going missing can include mental illness, miscommunication, misadventure, domestic violence, or being a victim of crime.

At 10:00 in the morning, I received a call regarding a missing person in the Eshowe area. A full description of the missing female was provided, including her clothing description, time last seen, and cell number. She had apparently been admitted to a local hospital and after being discharged had not returned home.

Local alerts were sent out on the AAA Response (TrackBox) app as well as Social Media, and a case opened with the police.

Over a week later we received information that the missing lady had returned home and was safe, which was a great relief to all parties concerned, and we were able to close our case.In these situations we ask that you call TrackBox AAA Response or SA CAN (NPO) immediately and we will do all we can to locate the missing person.
