Keep contact information up to date

We received an activation from a member and when I tried to call her, there was no answer. After trying repeatedly to contact her I opened her profile and started calling her emergency contacts, who also did not answer their phones.

Seeing that the location sent on her activation was the same as her residential address in the West Riding area I asked the WCP neighbourhood watch if anyone had a phone number for the security gate at the member’s complex.

They sent patrollers to check on the member and also sent me the number for the security company there. the guard on duty said the patrollers were already there and that they had checked on the member and confirmed that she was alright.

I managed to contact the member directly ten minutes later and she thanked us for being concerned about her. I added the security gate contact number to her emergency contacts and updated her address with the unit number of her house.

We urge all members to keep their contact information up to date so that we can take the needed measures as quickly as possible, in case of an emergency.
